The African Institute of Management Science (AIMS) has been Licensed by the National Teaching Council ( NTC) to deliver professional development training services for Teachers in Ghana. Our approach to the TCPD program is intrinsically consultative and participatory by nature. This approach ensure elements of capacity building is included into each of the components of the consultancy and training. This will be done by various means, including the development of Action Plans with each of the thematic working groups, line ministries and related technical officers. The regular ongoing workshop feedback session will be open to all relevant stakeholders.
Teaching Methods
Our courses are facilitated by highly experienced educationists and trainers pre-approved by the NTC . We provide a variety of practical, interactive approaches underpinned by well-founded concepts and always tailor the content, level and techniques to suit specific needs of participants. Our trainings take a collaborative approach to include Lectures, Tutorials, Discussion Groups, Hands-on, Demonstrations, Plenaries, Workshops, and Integrated pedagogical approaches as may be necessary from time-to-time.

Required Documentation:
AIMS is required to ensure accurate records are kept for all TCPD programs to include:
• Full and bonafide names of participants in attendance
• Appropriate attendance certificates to participants.
• Evaluation forms to delegates.
• Guidelines and the credit point assessment for the TCPD courses
Program Delivery Locations
The TCPD programs will be delivered to all regions of the country through schools represented in the various district education clusters under the aegis of the Ministry of Education in the Sixteen (16) regions of Ghana. The mandatory course pre-requisites towards the TCPD credit point systems as prescribed by National Teaching Council (NTS), will be conducted from time to time as scheduled in consultation with the necessary stakeholders in each region and/or district in person and/or online.
Courses On Offer
In compliance with statutory standards, AIMS has selected a range of Training Programs form the provided mandatory training programs given by the National Teaching Council. The courses on offer may fall in one of four categories- supply-driven, need-based, rank-driven and time-required to ensure participants gain the necessary competency results and assigned CPD points. Our courses are offered online via Zoom, and in-person within a 1-3-day period, yielding points per training program. Our courses offer competency and deliver CPD points towards a teacher portfolio development within the stipulated period of three (3) years. Points awarded are course model-specific and determined by the National Teaching Council. Causes delivered may be MANDATORY, RECOMMENDED and/or RANK-SPECIFIC and ay be open or mandatory.
